In general the SAS and our regular troops do a magnificent job. Somehow a lone overly macho man got through the selection process. He obviously excelled at the physical requirements, but I question why his pysch testing didnt pick up. Yes, a soldier can snap under pressure in battle. But to snap multiple times points to his superior officers not taking action. Actions in battle are one thing and are accepted as "collateral" . Actions such as what BRS allegedly did are NOT collateral. He has supporters in Australia, just as William Calley had in USA.

But ever since WW2 we have been dragged into wars that we should never have been involved in. Why????. To support the US juggernaut??. To try and overthrow a regime that has been in power for thousands of years and to impose a western culture on people that don't want it??.

We cannot solve the entire world problems by force. We only generate more hatred for the west. Ask yourself "If a heavily armed taliban came into your house in Australia and murdered your aged parents or siblings, what action would you take?" What action would your remaining sons, their sons or extended family take against Australia??. FOR WHAT???. What did our war in any of the middle east or asian countries achieve?? sweet FA.
