    dave, I think that many of the so-called terrorist acts around the world have very little to do with each other. Generally there is some local dimension that is behind most of them and the links with others may be more imagination than reality. Obviously terrorists need finance and may generally find it overseas, but the links may be that they have found sympathetic ears overseas rather than being directed from there.
    Of course if those financing them also finance others around the world it could be portrayed as a global conspirosacy, but in reality they may be completely separate issues.
    Just as we all may borrow from the same bank, and they may make us each jump through the same hoop, doesn't mean that what I do with my money is connected to anyone else, at least I hope not. You never know what some of that money is getting upto.
