What ANS said, and the BM guys were quite adamant:
- Nickel will perform very well
- There won't be enough nickel supply without laterite deposits coming on line
- Cobalt in surplus till 2022 / 2023, then noticeable deficit thereafter.
None of this worries me still. For me CLA is all about economic sizeable non-DRC supply. I think it will be in demand regardless of near term cobalt surplus, and can certainly come on line in time to fill some of the deficit down the track.
