    Bendigo Bank Limited (BEN) has reported an after-tax profit of $48.8 million for the year to 30 June 2002, compared with $33.3 million previously. Net interest income increased 19.9% to $192.6 million, while non-interest income was up 30.3% to $100.1 million. This latter amount included $11.1 million as BEN's share of its associates' net profits.

    The bank declared a final dividend of 17 cents per share, fully franked, compared with 14.5 cents for 2000/01. The total dividend for the year is 29 cents, up from 26 cents (although for the prior period the bank paid out, in addition, a special dividend of 15 cents per share).
