BB-301 orphan status means nothing if we cannot deliver the drug. Orphan status only matters if the FDA gives approval for it to be used by the general public and we are years away from that being the case.
The HBV results were good but achieved at dosing levels that are highly unlikely to be approved by the FDA because such levels have proven to be unsafe. This is why we need a partner - to help fund delivery technology research.
As I have said previously, we do have some possibilities but, without further clarification from Benitec, they are long shots in my opinion. New IP is where we could really see a difference in interest in the company.
