    No doubt he would be a success but I don't see it as such a devastating blow to the NRL.

    It would be more damaging to him personally and his club for him to remain playing with his apparent lack of enthusiasm. He is only a shadow of the electric player that took the WestsTigers all the way.

    Good luck to him if he wants to try his hand at the other code but he might find it a bit restrictive for his style of play.

    I can see why Rugby are chasing good halves as their stocks are not all that high going by those on display in the series against the Lions.

    There seems to be an abundance of exciting halves running around in the NRL at the moment. The success of the Toyota Cup has a lot to do with this success. Rugby needs something similar if they want to produce some of their own.

    As for Benji's media profile, it will only remain high for as long as he is producing quality football. That appears to be on the wane right now so a change of direction may be his best option.
