Forrest wins case against miners
Dozens of mining licences around Western Australia are suddenly under a cloud, after billionaire mining magnate Andrew Forrest succeeded in having two would-be miners kicked off his Pilbara cattle station. The High Court yesterday ruled in favour of Mr Forrest and his wife Nicola, who were appealing earlier court decisions that had cleared the way for mining on the Forrest’s Minderoo station in WA.
