It's entirely the Labour McGowan banned on new Uranium mines in 2017.
McGowan is pretty popular, so I don't see this changing anytime soon due to domestic reasons.
The only spanner in the works could be the Russia situation and the requirement for the US and its allies to become self-reliant on strategic resources such as Uranium. There is in fact a big push in the US to do just that. So I'm keeping an eye on CXU in case there is a hint of WA changing its mind, as you a right, this would skyrocket under such a scenario.
