Pintoho,
The so called "Spanish farm raids" have been the Robin Hood story last year. I am not quite sure why Menta bought it up now? Somehow - i fail to see the relevance.
However, Menta does have a handle on the problems with Italy and France - countries which haven't grown much for the past 24 years. Their problem is not the payment of interest on the current debt, but that the total outstanding government debt is still growing and the economy doesn't.
I am still trying to get my head around some EZ economic and financial data. Trying to answer questions that are not very straightforward (at least, not to me).
Give you an example:
tell me, is higher household saving good or bad?
You may think that this is largely irrelevant - but remember that Aussie economy is slowing and compulsory savings are going up. So what gives? Spending or saving?
Let me think more before answering Menta's one-liners about Europe (and US).
