HAVING failed to get in round the back, Benny Elias has decided to give the front door a go.
The rugby league player turned company director is asking his Chameleon Mining shareholders to vote on a plan to issue him some free options in the company -- 24 million free options, to be precise.
The proposed grant appears to comprise the 10million share options that "Backdoor Benny" -- as the Balmain Tigers legend was known during his playing days -- was forced to hand back in December after the Australian Securities Exchange pointed out that their earlier issue went against its rules.
Plus, Elias looks set to pick up an extra 14 million options for his troubles, which include running the company's monster litigation against Murchison Metals on a shoestring budget.
