    If it's all smiles with X and just crossing JV i's and t's possibly.

    Alternatively it could preparation for a fall-back position ala plan b/c

    Or it could simply be negotiating message / tactic.

    Or has already been mentioned just an excuse for a General Meeting so the JV news can be released.
