exbull, Loads has been written about desirable levels of taxation in an economy/society but it doesn't see the light of day unless it aligns with neoliberal objectives. I respect the field of economics but the modern economics profession is little more than PR for corporations. If you want a job, then you have to tell them what they want to hear, same as the MSM. Most mainstream economists do not have contradictory thinking until they have an epiphany after they retire. Your partisan understanding of taxation certainly shows why this country is in a mess. It operates, not according to research, but ideological dogma and political expediency. But don't blame me, I didn't vote for it.
