I think you are correct lordolean, we should have had a recession when GFC occurred and would have only been a mild one but now we have a deficit with trashed interest rates plus housing prices out of control for new entrants, irrelevant of government in place at time they have created a major mess that sadly will be felt for generations ahead.
i think we are heading for the famous Paul Keating quote of the recession we had to have.
