Donie - this was the loud and clear message repeatedly on TV to the electorate at large in the days before the last election. It seems it was taken at face value and taken as a pretty strong commitment.
Are you saying then that Gillard deliberately deceived the electorate by saying no tax while meaning there will be a price? So is their a difference between carbon price and carbon tax?
Has she tried to play the electorate as fools? - that usually spells disaster come election time.
