    the stimulus package that the coalition proposed in the wake of the gfc was almost identical in size to the one enacted by the labor govt.

    in other words they would've done the same re spending and deficit.

    why were both sides proposing stimulus packages if the gfc didn't touch us?

    denial of reality is rampant 'round here.
