We have an 80 HP John Deere a couple of years old now and it has been very reliable. A dodgy battery that began to swell was replaced under warranty. Know a few people with Deutz tractors who have had major transmission problems. Also have a 105 HP Class which is about 18 years old. Has a genuine John Deere engine and New Holland transmission and hydraulics. Has been a pretty solid tractor. We are not involved in broadacre crops just hay production and feeding cattle and use an old Inter 574 to pull hay trailer etc. Some of the smaller John Deere tractors are made in India now. Check place of manufacture.
