The key to determining a real liquidation value is to properly assess the liquidation values of the LT assets. I think intangibles get $0 in a liquidation. I don't know the tax issues well enough around the deferred losses to know if those can be purchased if assets are sold rather than companies merged. No one here (including me) has looked at the LT assets in a deeper way, so understandably there is a wide range of projected values.
