Yeh I don't think your understanding the full picture here.
The batteries won't just get you 1000 charges then it's game over!

Currently the testing is around 1000 charges but they are full discharge then full recharge cycles which you normally wouldn't run it completely flat in your everyday driving around to work type usages.
And then that 1000 charge testing is still above the 60% battery testing capacity so even if it drops down to 60% tomorrow then in the real world you've got over another 1000 charges to keep driving your EV.

2000 full discharge/charge cycles at 365 days in the year get you to nearly 6 years worth of driving but remember you don't always get home to plug in your EV and it's dead flat.

Most EV manufacturers have a warranty of 8 years or 100,000 miles on their batteries so all in all that's not that bad life cycle.

And about to get even better when Li-s start selling their BNNT nano mesh to battery makers and they will last even longer!

The era of EV's and BNNT enhanced batteries are coming mate so strap in!
