i have been using interactive brokers for a few months now. great price trades Aus stocks $6 and US stocks $1 good platform but delayed quotes unless you pay for real time. they will charge you $12 a month unless your trade conmissions total $12 or more. which isnt hard. buy 2 aussies or buy and sell one aussie then no charge that month. Many other markets as well, check out golbal offerings on their website. need 10k US to open an account, fairly easy to set up only downside is not chess holdings, the way i understand it like they are nominees or something but every investor individually insured up to 1 million dollars, so i think they safe but who knows 100% these days? i havent switched much of my portfolio to them but handy for international trading as opposed to using comsec $1 vrs int bokrs $70
