I don't think CHN had surface exposure to do rock chips on - they maybe did soils and got and anomaly, but mostly targeting was done on a prominent magnetic high and they were just very, very lucky to hit some sort of feeder channel or low-point in a magma chamber where Ni + Cu had preferentially settled out. Mark Creasy drilled less than 100 metres away a few years earlier and dropped the ground as barren. Most of CHN's ore body is disseminated sulphides, not massive sulphides like their first hole which still remains an absolute anomalous glory hole.
