ok - watso will make that his next frozen chip purchase - so long as it is in the $2 range for 1kg .

a few weeks ago, watso was lucky to buy the last packet of a reduced to clear pack of 1kg pack of a m'cain product - that was reduced from about $4.50 down to $1... mm that was super tasty (did watso post about it?? ... maybe) ..

one way or the other but, any frozen chips at about $2/kg are real good value ..

for what it is worth , but a few years ago watso was in the line for the checkout at aldi - and the guy behind him had a trolley load full of frozen chips . and watso mentioned that spudshed had a better deal on chips at the time .. it seems that he had a business which involved selling chips and the aldi chips were really good ((indeed, watso vaguely recalls that he may have posted about the matter (on hc) at the time ))
