SGL Carbon aims to sell its business with Graphite electrodes which are used to recycle steel since competition from China is simply cheaper and SGL can't compete at these prices..
But:
SGL wants to increase revenue from Graphite specialities and Carbon fibre around 50% till 2020( compared to 2014 revenue levels)
AND Susanne Klatten hopes to supply Tesla's Gigafactory in Nevada with anode materials for Lithium Ion batteries !!
