Hopefully the Oz Government will pay us somehow when they nationalise the Gold mining industry. I understand in Weimer's Berlin, 4 ozs of Gold could get you a swanky home there. How about a home in Sydney for every 1,000 NST shares? Homes will be as cheap as chips in a nightmare scenario. Unsellable.

No one will want gold in a major crash or a depression...the idea's absurd.You're gonna need a roof over your head, water, food, maybe some land, petrol, guns and a vehicle.
Gold will be worthless, and if 'stackers' really think that's what's going to happen they'd better start paying off the mortgage, fast as...because they'll lose their jobs and businesses, won't be able to pay the mortgage and the debt collectors will be knocking on the door.
Both my sets of grandparents lost their houses, jobs and businesses in the Great Depression.
The notion that gold will be worth something in a depression is very eccentric indeed.
