Working for the RBA or any Central Bank for that matter. I would not wish that on anyone. Alan Greenspan was the FED head for quite sometime and is one of the biggest Goldbug I know. However he was not able to do the right thing. In fact within his tenure marked the start of the USD debt hocky stick. Once you are in the machinations of the system you seem to get stuck there. I would say even powerless to do jack even if you know what's is happening is wrong. As they say... It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.

As for your other point I've owned NST and EVN for almost a decade now on the cornerstone parcel. Post #:39066673 More than a decade on a few free carries from swing trades prior to NST being portfolio worthy. As long as you understand a gold miners nature per Post #:69507549 and size the holding accordingly and the company itself grows in ounces or in the case of EVN in margins. Then it deserves its spot in the portfolio.
