Yeh but how many of the Gold price gamblers/traders, Henny Penny's and Chicken Littles sold on masse during the stop hunt yesterday... It is what it is. The minute these guys (mostly retail) are attracted to a gold miner for a trade is the very minute someone in the financial system starts licking their lips. The day before yesterday was the day when traders felt the best about the gold sector/stock. Bullishness and capital inflows soared as gold/gold stock powers higher intraday. But consequently yesterday was the point primed for gold and a gold miners SP to get a good whack on the head like a baby fur seal. Because it is the point in time when a lot of new holders/positions are in. Fortunately the stop hunt was not able to push the SP lower than support... This is how the gold mining market works. I'm not saying that it makes it okay but the sooner you accept that the sooner you can adjust your strategy and take advantage of whiplashes. It's a sad reality but it is to your advantage. All it takes is understanding what it is you are dealing with in the first place.
