Let's have a look now at the long term monthly chart of the gdx which is the reason for the name of this thread. when it was started back in April 2021. That timing was way too early as the correction took way longer and was much deeper before the bull returns. Goes to show that one can never be too sure of oneself no matter how much conviction one have especially in investing where capital preservation is of primarily importance. Today after 3 long years we are likely seeing the confirmation of a longer term bull market in gold stocks. Please not the word used is always may and likely as there is always a chance that the chart pattern can change.
First up the monthly gdx log chart showing we had just had a confirmation of a double bottom and is now being retested. Then the daily chart which gives a zoomed in picture of the breakout. And lastly the nst monthly chart as a comparison showing that it is performing better than the gdx which is filled with larger hard to move badly managed stocks
