As much as it may seem wishful, the US is the cleanest dirty shirt. Australia will fare far worse. While I anticipate the USD gold price to rise, I also expect the USD to strengthen against the AUD in any crisis or 'reserve currency' changes.
Its some of the reason I have preferred AUD gold producers over USD ones. Will see how that plays out I guess.
