I admire your sentiments, but these US and European politicians seem to be possessed by a 'death cult'.

It is a sad state of affairs, when its the Sauds who are the ones applying the brakes of reason on the G7 - they have told Europe, if you seize Russia's 300 billion dollars in frozen assets, then we will sell our Euro debt (bonds). This is not as altruistic as it sounds, of course, as the Sauds know that their assets can also be seized, upon a political whim.
