Usually the gold price throws a tantrum if the US jobs market changes slightly, or there is the hint of a future US interest rates cut, even months ahead.
However, with one US Presidential candidate shot, and the other retired to the glue factory, for dementia treatment, the gold price just shrugs, and says, 'nothing to do with us'!
