If the move out of USD and government debt toward gold as the only viable reserve asset continues, (and why would it not?) I think what you suggest may well happen.
I've written a number of times that I believe $51 NST is an absolute bare minimum target in the short/medium term.
This is based upon the notion that we must surely return to at least the bare minimum sentiment in the sector that we had over the 25 years leading up to 2007.

The sentiment for the gold miners is in a complete, and protracted 'funk'!
Even a return to the very lowest sentiment they previously had implies more than tripling their market caps. (Note that if sentiment returned to near peak levels this would imply around a 7x current pricing.)
The profitability of companies like NST is radically under-projected by analysts, such that it is in no way reflected in their share prices.
At some point there will be profit reports that will hit sleepy investors like the proverbial slap in the face with a wet fish, and they will awaken to the value (and growth potential) available here.
