The environmental question arose, as this enviro completion clause seems to have been dropped, by the time NST finally settled the De Grey takeover.
In other words, the long settlement process, with all the risks of competing bids, seems to have been a complete waste of time. What was the point??
It is like me agreeing with my neighbour, I will purchase his unlicensed car, in six months, if he gets the car taken over the police pits, and registered, and then after six months, with no new rego, I buy the car anyway, for the price originally agreed to. What is that??
Also getting the project past the environment reviews is one thing, but then there is the Aboriginal input, and their claims for compensation, and restitution of the land. Nothing is over until the fat lady is singing!
