China and Russia backing Iran was their only hope and neither were remotely interested save for some moral preening. If Iranians want to get rid of the IRGC that's on them but for now the US has defused the situation with basically zero negative impacts.
Iran's neighbours will never publicly say it but they all like Israelis and Israel more than they do Iran - let alone Gazans. American/Israeli intelligence may be grossly exaggerating the nuke risk (their track record isn't great) but there'll still be plenty of Saudis and Jordanians sleeping easier right now.
Of course, none of this makes the world's debt or fiscal situation any less dire. Foreign policy is hard but budget sustainability when suffrage is universal and birth rates are collapsing is essentially impossible.
