The USA has never defaulted on its debt, it won't, it has 20,000 employees in the Federal Reserve and 100,000 in the US Treasury monitoring the situation, many on them economists and PhD's, and they know a lot more than gold 'stackers'.
Interest rates will rise, maybe not for a while, but the US economy's on full throttle.
