Given the choice between going back to the dark ages or paying for energy in Rubles, 10 times out of 10 and despite the contrary chest thumping, the bills will get paid in Rubles. And that brings in a massive gold dynamic because the Russians have put a Gold price floor on the Ruble. So, next month, Rubles = energy/gold and as the ruble appreciates vs the dollar and Euro, so the floor price of Gold should also rise. And I don't even know the ramifications on the World Gold markets.
