best mid tier gold explorer or producer

hi all

Looking for some advice or a few companies to research, particularly in the Gold space. I have an extra 50k to invest and will likely do a 30, 10, 5, 5 split or 30,15,5.
My primary investment will be a lower risk - mid tier gold stock.
My leaning at the moment is AMX - Ampella. Seem to be gathering an impressive resource and I like the fact that thier is a likelihood that they will increase the JORC reserve in the 2nd quarter.

Anyone got a view on a stock which they may have done significant work on recently?
