All very good points.
1. Outside of Southeast Asia, there are two places that can possibly make the metal needed for magnet production and they are in Estonia and the U.K.
2. There are two types of PM (Permanent Magnets), Bonded (technology owned by NEO) and Sintered (technology owned by Hitachi). Most e-transport use for traction drives are sintered, and outside of Asia there is one company that has a license which produces today and that is VAC in Germany. Sintered mags make up about 70% of the overall market.
3. Correct in that REEtec has partners along the value chain until magnets. http://reetec.no/secreets/
4. VML has two of the handful of people that understand actual RE production in their management. REEtec has another two with even more experience.
Execution is key, if/when VML has to pay the securing money to the Canadian government that is the sign that they are in actual production...
