With interest I am watching the coal story. I was told recent rolling blackouts in China was due to chinas depleted coal supplies, not quite true. From recent news it transpires that China is desperately making moves to reduce pollution because of carbon taxes they will incur as they are the worlds biggest polluter. Winding back production and generation leads to blackouts and they say the price of coal in China is going through the roof. America to will have to bite the bullet and deal with this but not such a dramatic way. CFO position is dismal but the way world events are heading they just maybe able to pull it of. I would be happy if someone with real knowledge of what’s really going on in China to enlighten us more.
