Recently bought a small stake in both. GRY is about 18 mths ahead in the mine development curve. Hence the premium and why in recent times GRY has outperformed AMX - a little bit safer and closer to the end goal, hence funds like AMP opt for GRY first.
The best part of the current trend in both AMX and GRY is that the open short sell position has been increasing while the share prices were sinking. About half the short position in GRY was placed around 70c.
