IMHO $50b profit before tax or after tax is somewhat beyond even BHP atm.
Published Net Income From Continuing Operations:
FY05 - $7,496m [then subtract tax - $2,962m]
FY06 - $13,963m [then subtract tax - $4,843m]
FY07 - $16,982m [then subtract tax - $5,715m]
IMHO it is difficult to see how FY08 results will be three times those for FY07, much as I would love that to be the case.
