Mmm agreed. With tightening of the belts in Australia it is the sectors to do with luxury that will suffer first such as entertainment and to some degree retail.
Australia though is spinning into a two tiered economy if we are not careful we will have employees and contractors with quantifiable fiscal worth (such as commission based, tradesmen, self employed etc)are doing well while those who are in the public service industry (nurses, cops, teachers, pservants, local shire workers)are being used as an exhaust break for inflation. Who knows what the outcome will be unless we can somehow give these guys more pay without exasserbating inflation. Who can guess what is around the corner? I can't.
