Robbbbb, yes 10% pa is a reasonable return. However as every share investor knows its the risk premium that we are rewarded by.
A safe 8% to 10% can be achieved with cash, bonds etc and can be a valuable component of a portfolio.
However when I invest in equities I expect a higher return.
15% pa doubles your investment in 5 years. I'm looking for b/w 20% and 30% pa for my shares. why else would you do it ?
