Both platinum plays. Very bullish on platinum. It is used as a catalyst in all sorts of chemical reactions, such as oil refining, pool chlorinators, vehicle exhausts, upcoming fuel cells. Plus other uses including jewelry and in electronics.
NKP has a huge platinum resource in South Africa, BFS almost finished, with Xtrata having the option to operate the mine for 50% of shares. Which means when Xtrata excercise their option, the mine will be funded without any more SPP. Should be mining in 2012-2013.
PLA is now mining. Initial grades are not spectacular as they are still in the setup stage. Ore has a lot of unproductive waste still coming through, which means output is down. This was expected and grades will improve.
