Suggest you do a lot more reading too. Aftermarket trades only occur at approx 4.10pm- if you're placing an order at 4.30pm, all you're doing it buying at open the next day (presuming your bid is high enough). When trades open in the morning, they match up at a certain price depending on the numbers.
