    Just say it as we Aussies would pronounce it & you’ve also got a perfectly normal question in Japanese ‘beer wa?’ Which means ‘what about beer?’ Or ‘would you like a beer?’
    ( will help if your Japanese friend can understand our pronunciation of beer* ).
