Were the "41 people with normal IQs" trained or practiced in trading?
Just seems that this study overlooks the fact that to have a particular skill behaviour in a field (e.g. surfing or trading) a person naturally isn't responding to stimuli but rather practices the control of input variables. i.e. controlled input as opposed to responsiveness.
This research is incorrectly applying old stimulus-response models of behavior which then draws silly assumptions such as the best traders could be "functional psychopaths".
One day people may discover that behaviour is an integral part of the closed loop process which CONTROLS perception.
