Are charts self-fulfilling prophesies for many? If a head and shoulders pattern completes, then the price is expected to go down. Do market price setters take advantage when considering a "good thing"? Does this mean the arrival of the cappers? Its a question of timing.
If the cappers do come in too early, the pattern does not complete and any news will slide it past the right shoulder and away it goes.
I think the probability lies in favour for the autonomous shift of demand curve up with news due shortly and any cap now would serve the accumulators, but it won't last. I will top up again thanks to the cappers who cannot hold the train forever. There lies the difference between the artificial charting with market distortion and the actual events reflected by a market mechanism.
