It's always good to read reviews and you will probably find views, restaurants are included in quite a few reviews.

Don't stay down that way very often but if we go an AFL match at Carrara we stay at the RACQ Royal Pines Resort. It suits us, as it is very quiet and not near any of the tourist shopping strips or nightlife and has undercover security parking. Feel like an old fart now.
