"The relative survival nationally at five years
after diagnosis for women diagnosed between
1992 and 1997 was 42%."
"For women diagnosed with Stage III/IV
EOC, the 5-year survival rate is 15-20%"
Yet, on the shareholder presentation they say of the women diagnosed with ovarian cancer "only 10-20% survive beyond 5 years"
They either need to insert the words "Stage III/IV" or "Advanced" in between "diagnosed with" and "ovarian cancer" or change the 73000 to the correct figure if it is wrong, or change the 10-20% to about 45% (latest figures)
Yes it seems pedantic, and probably just an admininstrative error. But if a lot of people are relying on the accuracy of figures in the shareholder presentation...
It may also ring alarm bells if figures look to have been distorted. Makes you wonder about the accuracy of other figures in the presentation.
As you say they have a responsibility to provide correct data to the public.
