The wording of the announcement seems to indicate that an offer was received which WPL are now considering, surely if a WPL proposal they would have made a decision before announcement.
By the way, if I remember correctly BG had a warchest of 6 Billion pounds allocated for aquisitions, the English government admitted a few days ago that they had severely underestimated the future energy needs and were now looking again at expanding Nuclear energy, so energy is a priority.
Banda, Ching, and Pelican gas is the equivalent of 12 months gas usage for England, a very big resource.
