For more than a year, Drazin has been working with BetMakers to bring fixed-odds, win-place-and-show wagering to Monmouth Park and New Jersey. He hoped to introduce it by the start of 2022 and then in late January wrote an open letter to the racing industry about his hopes to launch by the end of March.Speaking last week, Drazin cited regulatory delays in gaining the necessary approvals and is now hopeful of having fixed-odds in place when Monmouth Park opens its 2022 meet on May 7. "It's not in my hands," Drazin said. "If it were, we'd have fixed odds by now."
